The benefits of aerobic exercise are numerous and it is very important to develop the habit of doing regular aerobic exercise if you want to get in the best shape possible. You could also get a bike or some fitness equipment for home use so you can work out from the comfort and convenience of home. Tip 1: Stay in the target heart rate zone
Most people that try to do aerobic exercise either do not work out with enough intensity to get the maximum benefit or they push themselves too hard and end up wearing themselves out. You want your heart rate to stay in the range of 120 - 140 beats per minute ideally for 30 to 45 minutes. At the end of each workout you should have worked up a decent sweat but should not be so tired that you cannot even move. This is the fat burning zone and is ideal for maximum weight loss combined with a proper diet of course.
Tip 2: Make it fun
Enjoying your workouts is important in order to allow you to stick with the program and see long term success. Listen to your favorite music or bring a friend to the gym with you to get your workouts. If you can associate pleasure with exercise then you will want to exercise more often instead of trying to avoid it.
Aerobic exercise alone is not enough in order for you to lose weight and stay healthy. You must combine it with proper diet and also implement some type of weight training program so that you increase your overall metabolism.
